Matthew is a sophomore at Northshore Essex Technical and Agricultural High School studying arboriculture. He hopes to be a successful business owner in the future. The oldest of six, Matthew de Brigard is no stranger to adventures, so when Nana showed up with a blind pug weeks after his diagnosis, Matthew’s response was perfect. He simply said, “Awesome, the blind leading the blind! Let’s race!”. 

Matthew now races to the buzzing bases of beep baseball for Boston Strong, breaks ankles in Cape Ann Soccer as right wing, and drifts on his Polaris ATV in the woods with family and friends while the pug snores in the living room waiting for dinner. Matthew enjoys meeting different teams through the NBBA World Series and games with the New York Bombers. Matthew enjoys trying to razzle other competitors and teammates, making his mother hunt for him at every field.

Matthew is looking forward to competing for the championship with his friends on Boston Strong!
