Adaptive Sports New England presents:

Blind Sports Day 2026

Explore. Learn. Play. Feel.

Sports

Participants will be grouped by age and will rotate sport stations together.

Goalball

Teams of three players wear blackout eyeshades and roll a jingling ball into the opponent’s net while defending their own goal, relying entirely on sound and touch.

beep baseball

An adapted version of baseball for visually impaired athletes, featuring a softball that emits a continuous “beep” and two tall, buzzing, foam bases (first and third). Instructed by members of the Boston Strong Beep Baseball Team!

rowing

Try out rowing machines and learn proper techniques! Hear from Community Rowing, Inc. instructors and learn about rowing on the Charles River throughout the year.

Running/Walking

Learn to walk or run alongside a sighted guide , and enjoy the comfort and safety of BC High’s 400 meter track. Set a goal for consistent movement for 20 minutes or learn to sprint 100 meters in synch with your guide. Running is fundamental to many sports, and a key to life-long fitness. Work with our friends from Achilles International Boston to set your goal for the summer or to just meet like-minded peers.
