DESCRIPTION:11th Annual Martin Richard Memorial One Mile Invitational Thursday\, August 14 \nHosted by Youth Enrichment Services\, The Martin Richard Foundation\, USA Track & Field – New England\, and Adaptive Sports New England. \nOn August 14\, please join Youth Enrichment Services (YES) and the Martin Richard Foundation for the 11th Annual Martin Richard Memorial One Mile Invitational. 100% of funds raised will support Youth Enrichment Services (YES). \nRunners who are blind or mobility challenged and wheelchair racers are encouraged to participate. Participants in these categories may enter the adaptive 400 m race or any of the 1-mile races. \nIf you have any questions about the event\, please contact Hallie Therrien at email hidden; JavaScript is required. \nParking is available in some small lots around the park\, but you are highly encouraged to use public transportation at the JFK/UMASS Red Line MBTA stop. \nWe request a 9:00 minute or better entry/seed time for the 6:30 p.m. (Youth\, High School\, Open\, and Masters) 1 Mile event. All others\, including walkers\, should participate in the 7:30 p.m. 1 Mile. \nEvent Schedule:\n5:00 PM – Registration Opens\n6:00 PM – 400 Meter Race (Ages 4 – 8)\, 400 Meter Race (Adaptive Racers)\n6:30 PM – 1 Mile Races (Youth – Ages 8 to Students entering 8th Grade\, High School – Students Entering 9th to 12th Grade\, Open – High school graduates to Age 39\, & Masters – Age 40+)\n7:15 PM – 1 Mile Race (Wheelchair Racers)\n7:30 PM – Non-Competitive 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll (All Ages) \nRegistration Fees: \n\nPre-Registration Fee: $10 (Closes 12 pm on 8/13)\n\n\nPost-Registration Fee: $15 (On-site on 8/14)\n\nRace Management reserves the right to seed and adjust heats when necessary based on the number of entries. \nAwards:\nAll 400 Meter and Youth 1 Mile finishers will receive a commemorative Martin Richard 1 Mile Memorial Ribbon.\nThe top three (3) finishers in the Youth\, Scholastic\, Open\, Masters\, and Wheelchair 1 Mile Races will receive awards.
