To fully participate and make the most of the experience\, athletes must be able to run\, walk\, and jump without the use of assistive devices. Wheelchair users are encouraged to explore our wheelchair basketball program.  \nAs with all Adaptive Sports New England programs\, athletes should demonstrate typical cognitive and behavioral development and be able to participate independently. While we believe that all children deserve and can benefit from learning basketball\, these programs are not designed to provide the special support that children on the autism spectrum or children with intellectual impairments deserve.
